Begins
Lock & Letters was born out of the desire to keep our most treasured moments tangible and tactile in a world that is quickly becoming more and more digital.
We want to capture time, and not only have it stored in a safe place, but for that safe place to be displayed proudly in our homes. This is possible through our bespoke framing service.
Why "Lock & Letters"?
An Ancient Art, Reimagined
Before the internet existed, there were envelopes. Before envelopes, there were seals. And before any of these, there was letter locking, an ancient technique of folding paper to ensure the contents of the letter were kept from prying eyes, folded in such a way where it was clear if someone had attempted to see inside.
This dates back to the 13th century, we still have some physical examples of this preserved today. At Lock & Letters, we're hoping we'll be creating pieces, like these, that are still loved generations down the line.

Around the World
We source the finest materials from all over the world. Our favourite paper comes from fibres hand-picked and made in the Himalayas, and takes up to a year to manufacture.
While we're the first to offer a bespoke in-house framing service for your suite, we believe the true difference with us is that we care just as much as you do about your memories. Your stationery is responsible for setting the tone for the biggest day of your life, nothing short of perfection will suffice.
